Browne Appraisal, Inc. is a Full Service Residential Appraisal Firm specializing in all aspects of residential appraisal work. Our primary market is Bay County, Florida, although our firm covers the entire Florida Panhandle area. Wendell Browne began his appraisal career in March of 1984 and has appraised numerous historical, resort, and complex residential properties throughout his career. In December of 1994, Mr. Browne was awarded the SRA designation through the Appraisal Institute. As the world's leading organization of professional real estate appraisers, the Appraisal Institute has general appraisal members who hold the MAI, SRPA, or SREA designations and residential appraisal members who hold the SRA or RM designation. Identified by their experience and knowledge of real estate valuation, these members adhere to a strictly enforced Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Currently, the Appraisal institute confers one general designation, the MAI, and one residential designation, the SRA. Wendell Browne is one of only some 4,000 appraisers nationwide to receive the SRA designation. The average appraiser takes from five to seven years to complete the educational and experience requirements required for this designation. The SRA designation differs substantially from appraisers who only gain the minimum qualifications of a state-licensed appraiser. In the workplace, SRAs offer more diversified valuation services such as providing review appraisal services, litigation support and expert witness testimony, and consulting and/or counseling services. Wendell is an active member of the local chapter of the Appraisal Institute and is a past Vice President of the Northwest Florida Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. |
